Congressional Black Caucus Spouses Health Initiatives

Award made to students who reside or attend school in a congressional district represented by an African-American member of Congress. Applicant must be enrolled in college full-time. Awards scholarships to academically talented and highly motivated students who intend to pursue full-time undergraduate, graduate of doctoral degrees in health related areas. Minimum 2.5 GPA required in order to be eligible to receive scholarship funding. Contact the congressional office in the appropriate district for information and applications.

Academic Fields/Career Goals: Health Administration; Health and Medical Sciences; Health Information Management/Technology.

Award: Scholarship for use in freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or graduatee years; renewable. Number 200. Amount $500-$4000.

Eligibility Requirements: Applicant must be enrolled or expecting to enroll full-time at a two-year or four-year institution or university. Applicant must have 2.5 GPA or higher. Available to U.S. citizens.

Application Requirements: Application, essay, financial need analysis, interview, photo, references, transcript. Deadline: May 1st.
