American Indian Nurse Scholarship Awards

Renewable award of $1000 per semester. Currently able to fund between 10 and 15 students per semester. Intended originally to benefit females only, the program has expanded to include males and the career goals now include not only nursing careers, but jobs in health care and health education, as well.

Academic Fields/Career Goals: Health Administration; Nursing.

Award: Scholarship for use in freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate or postgraduate years; renewable. Number 10-15. Amount: $500 to $1000.

Eligibility Requirements: Applicant must be American Indian/Alaska Native and enrolled or expecting to enroll full-time at a two-year or four-year technical institution or university. Applicant must have 2.5 GPA or higher. Available to U.S. citizens.

Application Requirements: Application, autobiography, financial need analysis, photo, references, transcript. Deadline: Continuous.
